PREPARATION & APPLICATION
-
1
Release water pressure from pipe. Clean and roughen area to be repaired, then:
-
2
Joint/Potable water systems: Knead putty until uniform in color. Roll into a rope or ball. Place firmly into joint or crack. Feather edges with wet finger.
-
3
Crack: Remove adhesive backing from Butyl Patch and apply directly over break; press firmly onto pipe.
-
4
Use gloves enclosed and remove Syntho-Glass® from foil pouch. Soak in temperate water for 20 seconds.
-
5
Wrap Syntho-Glass, using entire roll, approximately 2" above and below the repair area. Wrap as tightly as possible.
-
6
Squeeze and mold Syntho-Glass in the direction of wrap, removing excess water and spreading resin until tacky to touch (approximately 3-5 minutes). Allow 30 minutes at 75°F before re-applying water pressure.
