Trident-Seal™ Stops Gas Leaks Threatening Children's Hospital
During a mandatory inspection at a South Florida Children's Hospital, five different gas leaks were discovered. To repair these gas leaks, the local gas company informed the hospital that the gas would have to be shut off for the duration of the repair process. This left the children's hospital in a serious predicament-without gas they simply could not function.

With the lives of so many children at risk, the gas company had to explore other options to handle these repairs. The gas company turned to Neptune Research and their innovative product Trident-Seal.

Trident-Seal™ is an epoxy putty made especially for natural gas repairs. It is extremely strong and is chemically resistant to hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, esters, halocarbons, as well as dilute acids and bases. Further, it can be used for repairs with no interruption to the gas services, essential to this children's hospital.

The leaking joints were identified and prepared for repair with a thorough cleaning. Each leak had to be fixed individually according to the setting time of the Trident-Seal™ epoxy. After the putty was applied, a special tape was used that essentially forced the epoxy putty into the leaking area.

To complete the process, each leak was tested and confirmed to be repaired. Then, the technician filled out an ID card that would allow for quality control of each leak and identify the repair for future reference.

Trident-Seal™ was essential in this critical repairs to five gas leaks. More importantly, it was done with no interruption in service to this South Florida Children's Hospital.
